Before you arrive in Raleigh, make sure you book your weekend stay at The Guest House — the brand new hotel experience in downtown!

FRIDAY night

As you arrive in Raleigh, head straight to Brewery Bhavana on Blount St and get your name on the list for dinner, it’s worth the wait! They have exquisite Dim Sum cuisine, but the restaurant is an all encompassing curated “living room” experience — housing a flower shop, books, and thoughtful cocktails.

Katie's Picks:

Katie is an Industrial Design student at NC State College of Design who loves riding her bike, nerding out on new store arrivals, and traveling anywhere for adventures, anytime.

To start out your perfect weekend in Raleigh first stop by the Morning Times Coffee shop for some homemade pastries and coffee. The outside seating on the sidewalk is perfect for people and dog watching. The cozy upstairs area features a gallery and is perfect for a chat with friends, reading a book, or even just answering a few emails.

After your caffeine fix take a stroll past the capitol building and go check out the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences. This museum is thrilling for all ages- with everything from dinosaur bones to a butterfly room. In the afternoon take a drive over to the NC State Farmers market for everything fresh and local from produce to handmade soaps and a quick lunch.

Amanda's Picks:

Amanda is a textile student at NC State who enjoys being outside, wandering around new places, and traveling any distance to see live music.

Day 1:

Start your day with a coffee from Cup a Joe on Hillsborough street, it’s causal and there is always interesting music playing. Next, I recommend heading over to the North Carolina Museum of Art. Before heading in to view the amazing exhibits, take advantage of the numerous walking trails at the Museum Park that will transport you to being surrounded by nature and art, all in a memorable way. Once you are ready for lunch, ten minutes away from NCMA is my absolute favorite pizza shop in all of NC, Pizzeria Faulisi, the Amat pizza is what I go crazy for!
